Alanis Morissette

Alanis Morissette is a Canadian born June 1 1974, in Ottawa. Alanis can be described as the female version of Alan which is her father's birth name. Georgia is the name used by her mother and she shares two brothers with her, Chad Wade and Chad Wade. When she was just 6 She learned to play the piano. And then, when she turned 21, the guitarist. Alanis recorded a single back in 1986, titled Fate Stay With Me (b-side : Find The Right Man). In Canada, Alanis recorded two dance-pop albums, Alanis (in the year 1991) and the album Now Is The Time in 1992. Her move to Toronto at the age of 18, and began working alongside music and writers, but the collaborations didn't work. In 1994, she came across the perfect collaborator: the producer and songwriter Glen Ballard, who had collaborated with several artists including Aretha Franklin, Michael Jackson and Barbra Streisand. When she moved to LA She turned 19. In June of 1995 "Jagged Little Pill" was made available via Madonna's Maverick Records. Alanis discovered an intimate, personal way to write songs. JLP had sold over 30 million copies worldwide and is the most-sold female album. This is also the third most popular album ever.
