Marcia Gay Harden

Marcia Gay Harden is the third child of five siblings born at La Jolla on 14 August 1959. She was the daughter of Beverly (Bushfield) had been a housewife, while her dad, Thad Harold Harden a soldier. Family members moved frequentlyHarden first got interested in theatre while the family was in Greece, and she had been to plays in Athens. Harden began her studies at American institutions in Europe and returned to the US to finish her education in the University of Texas in 1983 and then earned an MFA at NYU after which she was able to begin her acting career. Miller's Crossing was the Coen Brothers hilarious satirical tribute to the 1990 film about gangsters, Miller's Crossing. Although Harden had appeared in movies as early as 1986 (in The Imagemaker, a lesser-known film The Imagemaker), she played a seductive female lead in her first mainstream performance. Harden received good reviews for her stunning performance as Verna as a stunning, trouble-making woman. Harden continued to work in support characters.
